Programme
Kelowna Flightcraft (KFC) awarded contract by Kazan Helicopters of Russia to install a glass cockpit in a MIL/Kazan Mi-17 twin-turbine multipurpose helicopter. KFC to get Canadian and FAA certification. KFC will manufacture modification kits for installation in new-build and existing aircraft. First flight took place on 3 August 1997 and was followed by prototype test flights. Certificated in North America in 1998 and certificated in Russia in 1999. See Kazan Mi-172 Upgrade entry.
