Description
The ThruVision Systems T5000 is a long-range, real-time, passive terahertz camera designed to detect concealed threat objects at various stand-off distances. Typical applications include military checkpoints and border control security. The T5000 was designed to screen for concealed plastics, composites, ceramics, metals and materials that can be crafted to create a suicide bomb or other threat (including liquid explosives). It can also screen for concealed contraband such as narcotics packages and locate concealed objects that are not picked up by metal detectors. The T5000 collects naturally occurring terahertz waves produced by people and objects to form images of concealed items without revealing anatomical details of the subject being imaged. Both real-time terahertz and CCTV imagery is transferred to the security operator's PC/notebook using a standard Ethernet link, making remote operation possible. The T5000 is enclosed in a climate-controlled, weather-resistant housing for outdoor operation - it can be mounted in a variety of ways to screen people for both metal and non-metal objects.
